YOKOHAMA F. MARINOS have announced that Manager Kevin Muscat will be leaving the club at the end of season.
Firstly, what is important is that I express my honor in being given the opportunity to manage such a special club.
And at this point, I would like to express that I've made the decision that this Wednesday's match will be my last as part of the Marinos family.
On that note, there are obviously many people that I would like to thank, to president that have supported me throughout my period, Mr.Hata from Nissan Motor and all of the board of directors also. All the support that we have received, it's not possible to be successful without the support of our partners and sponsors, a big gratitude to them.
And also I would like to thank all the staff, sports directors, coaches, staff, medical staff, administration staff, everybody involved with the club.
From on behalf of myself and my family for the support that we have received and how welcomed we have been since arriving two and a half years ago.
And I suppose the main part of how my job is working with the players, the people that perform for us every week without their single mindedness, without their attitude these 2.5 years, wouldn't have been possible.
All the players throughout that period have contributed to achieving more points than any other clubs and scoring more goals than any other clubs. And in true Marinos-way playing an attacking and exciting brand of football. So to the players, congratulations and thank you from myself personally.
Finally, but not least, I've said this many times that the most important people in any football club are its fans and supporters.
And again, from myself and my family, thank you for the support that you've given me and my family through this period of time.
We've shared some wonderful memories, created some wonderful memories, shared some wonderful moments together, ones that I will cherish for a long time.
It's not easy to leave the Marinos family, but I leave with great memories, and wishing you all well and success in the future.
Thank you.
